been playing since I was 12. It's a great sport, but I don't think it
gets much recognition. I know when I get older I'm going to encourage
my children to play. I'm only 16 and A League of Their Own is my
favorite movie. In the movie nobody goes at first because it's girls
playing, but then everyone starts going because they realize they're

comments: In our page it has things about what to do and not to do
for parents. I feel this is very important as my dad does a lot of
these many times, especially pointing out what i do wrong, and
yelling out advice and such. Last year I got a fat lip when i was
diving back into 1st and when we were going to the hospital my dad
was telling me "If you would have done this and this and such and
such this wouldnt have happend, and we could be back at the game." He
also never practices with me, he says "not until you get better" so
how am i suppose to get better if i cant practice?? He also only
comes to big tournaments like state, Cheerios, st. louis and
nationals last year. I usually have to get a ride from the coach to
practive and to a lot of games because he wants to work on rental
houses. Sometimes it just seems so overwhelming that i want to quit,
but i stay in. I would like to thank you for putting those articles
on a page because i hope i can get him to read them, and hopefully
come to more games, and practice with me. Thanks again! -Rachel
